    OK, well, I'll change the grade for myself then. Libya freed, Markets rebounding again, a vacation is OK. Also, lets not forget that GW Bush took about 4 times as much vacation as President Obama has. Reality should ALWAYS trump perception. I come to Zogby for facts and reality, not spin. Still, I understand this world unfortunately runs on spin. I'll keep checking in.

    @F, don't fear for the nation when President Obama is reelected, my friend. You may fear for the nation if one of the crazier GOP candidates gets elected. You see, it's only logical. You know what President Obama's approaches are economically and in foreign policy. The nation is nursing a steady recovery since 2009. Bin Laden is out of the picture for good. Khaddafy will soon follow. President Obama will not destroy Social Security or Medicare. I don't really need to rehas for you what tea party candidates want to do? Now! I ask you....who makes you more afraid? President Obama (who is basically running the country like Reagan did).... Or President Bachmann?

    You koolaide drinkers that believe Obama knows what he is doing are completely nuts. He is so far over his head he doesn't have a clue what to do. If he isn't defeated in 2012, this country is doomed. I believe that Alfred E. Neuman could beat Obama in 2012.

    He will be judges by results, not vacatyions. He works very hard and this is just media frenzy. Bush was a dreadful president because of what hje did , not how many vacation days he took, or where he spent them. Obama will be juudged on the middle east, the stimuluus and health care.

    Agreed, Obama is working steadily but slowly toward economic recovery, he takes far less vacation than GW Bush did, and foreign policy goals seem to be fairly typical for us -- and recently successful. Nobody got on the Kennedy family's case for visits to Martha's Vineyard, but, as quaint and old-American as that place is, it's suddenly a bad place for the Obamas to go. Reporting the "elite snob" aspect without pointing out the quaintness and tradition is spin, John; but you're aware of that, correct? Maintaining military conflict in separate theaters AND tax cuts would be foolish, as it was back when GW Bush instituted it, and Obama sensibly has expressed an intention to rescind those cuts. Personally, I find him dismally lacking as a Democratic force, not at all the scary ultra-lib the Tea Partiers make him out to be.

    First off, thank you Zogby for allowing us this venue to vent our frustrations, expanded opinions on your polls, and a place to meet other survey participants. So far as Obama's "grade", I have never been one for any grading system. But, without a doubt actions taken, and review of the results show many failures on Obama's part. On the domestic front / economy / jobs this President has been full steam ahead in his quoted "fundamental transformation of America". Period. I will give him kudos on his use of our military to continue combating the Islamic Extremists, but I also believe he did not have much of a choice in the matter. If he chose to ignore it, as many of us expected him to do and he tried, we would have seen another attack on our country like 9/11. So the "kudos" are limited to the fact he did not have much of a choice. For the recovery, jobs and overall improvement of both, Obama has undoubtedly failed. Keynesian economic theory has been proven once and for all to not work. That is also now a fact. At these historically low ratings for a sitting President who will seek re-election, Obama will be a one term President, just like Jimmy Carter was in 1980.

    How can anyone with an objective mind think that Obama is doing a good job. Every President has his quirks and has made bad decisions. Obama is deliberate in his attempt to deceive the public just to control and get re-elected. He is so bad it is hard to come up with words that really describes him, his methods, his policies and his administration. Horrible.

    I voted for the President. I am sadly disappointed in his lack of leadership and his apparent inability to deal effectively with the opposition. I don't mind if the President occasionally looses a fight with Republicans, but it makes me sick to the back teeth when he does not even put up a fight. His approach to negotiating with the Republicans leaves me shaking my head and asking why the President plundered the best opportunity for change during the first two years of his administration. We could have done so much to advance the interests of the American people, especially seniors, the disabled and children. On the positive side of the equation, President Obama did save the nation and the other countries from financial disaster the likes we have not seen since The Crash and The Great Depression. I do not think the public is aware of what that collapse would have looked like in the U.S. His passage of health care reform, while not what I hoped for, was at least a breach into the formally impenetrable walls of access to the system for millions of people. If you get sick in American you are going to go bankrupt. We have taken a few steps in the right direction to fix that break down. The President has to decide to lead or get out of the way. He has not been up to the task in thwarting obstructionist Republicans. He has lost his voice and failed to frame the arguments of the day. He is not even respected by members of the Republican leadership, who bring our country to a new low when they "dimiss" the President on the world stage. It makes me shiver. We have great challenges, but we lack great men in Washington at this time. President Obama has been measured and found lacking in leadership. The Republicans are too petty to put the nation before their own selfish interests. The American people have been treading water far too long. If something does not break soon, you can toss this country onto the heap with other great empires that failed at a critical moment in time. We need a leader who will end two wars, beat our swords into ploughshares and lead the nation into a new direction of success and prosperity. If we do not seize the moment surely we will be left behind. God help us all.

I would only call you back to reality by pointing the the monumental mess created by 8 years of Bush-Cheney Kleptocracy, which the current Administration is furiously trying to resolve. I am appalled at how so many Americans became ready to give up on America once this President was elected. I prefer to keep believing this has nothing to do with race - that it is some other perverted hatred that is being manipulated by Fox News, etc. I may not convince you in one post, but I am confident that America is strong for the long haul ... during this administration and all that follow. Please do not be swayed by those who align themselves against America's economic recovery - I question their motives and loyalty.

If the media would have vetted him PROPERLY - instead of bowing at his feet...they might have noticed that every single influence in his life was done by a Marxist. This man is trying (and unfortunately doing a fine job) to ruin this country. His spending alone will destroy us within a few short years. Owe-bamacare CUT a half a trillion from Medicare. Agenda 21 will destroy our agriculture as we know it. The massive easing of the dollar will cause (it's starting) massive inflation. Every single regulation bill he and the democratic congress passed is suffocating business.     Unfortunately, it does have something to do with race. There is no way to rationally explain away hysteria of the right, upon the election of the current president. No other president has openly been disrespected as Obama has. Generation of the tea party is another aspect of this hysteria to claim that somehow current president is unqualified to lead this country. The man is a constitutional lawyer that has studies in the best schools in the United States. Not on a legacy grant, but as a bootstrapping American. During the run up of the last election the things that I heard spoken openly were reminiscent of what was said about many leaders during the civil rights era of the 60s. Three things lead me to believe that there is a special type of hypocrisy going on. The ignoring of the systematic dismantlement of regulations of major corporations during the late 90s and early 2000's that have no real loyalty to America. Hence the term “multi national” conglomerates that we hear on an everyday basis, not really understanding what it means. The Congressional right leaning members refusing to work with the president even when he brings them their own legislation they created on a platter. The three needless red-eyed passing of bills stop monetary deadlines. Shut down of the government systems to try to make many Americans angry at certain areas of the government. Many times these actions were unheard of before this man became president. The disappointment on the left is generated by his non-confrontational actions to clear the air from all the lies. If you got a group of people who can believe he is a non-American, socialists, Muslim, who might be the Antichrist. Why would you even attempt to try to negotiate with people that have ideas such as this?

    "Recovery" or, "Steady recovery" is what I keep hearing from the left. Please, fellow travelers, don't be duped into believing that Obama will ever lift the burden from the people who create wealth and jobs. There will be no true recovery unless he moves toward the center... like Clinton did. Far left ideologies, like far right ideologies, are destructive for a free nation. The left wants our money to pay for their social programs, yet they get in the trenches for freedom. The right knows how to create jobs (With any Republican selection we a better chance of an economic turnaround than with Pres. Obama.), most of them have had to meet payrolls, govern or run businesses, but their fringe (the Christian wing of the Taliban) wrap themselves in American flags, call themselves patriots and will burn this country to the ground if a Sunday liquor sales law passes, or they are unsuccessful at repealing Roe v. Wade. This is the reason I like Romney. He doesn't care about removing our freedoms (The reason why he flip flops on some issues. He wants the votes, but idiots in the Republican party seems to hate freedom). I believe he genuinely wants to prove himself as President - as he did in the Utah Olympic turnaround. He even refused his salary there! Please, progs, tell Obama to step down and let Hillary run. He's doing a terrible job and I'm starting to believe he doesn't even care!

When obama gets done you can kiss your freedom good by. Read his books Audacity of Hope and Dreams of my Father and you will see the real obama and it will scare the pants off you.We do need reform but not what he's doing.
