    Most Americans consider this President a success, but only as succesful as was humanly possible. No one should ever be "satisfied" with how well our nation is doing. President Obama most certainly is not. We are still in a leadership position in this world with the largest and most influential economy (GNP 3 times that of China). The issue is that no one realistically believes that President Obama can resolve all the messes in three years - that it took Bush and Cheney to create in 8 years. In that respect, no President can earn an A+. Zogby page manager, please resolve the info box above which does not match the "C" grade for the President. Thanks.

    Overall, Obama has done a poor job. Americans are reacting to his leaderless style. People have been unemployed longer than at any other time in this countries history. Longer than even the Great Depression. People can have all of the intelligence of Einstein, but if you do not have the practical experience to implement that knowledge, what good does it do you? He's lucky to come away with a C- this time. But, the bump will be temporary if his Administration does nothing to improve to help our businesses create jobs.

    We are on our way to being a third word nation mired hopelesslly in debt. The administration's solution is to tax more heavily an ever shrinking pie to pay for a growing welfare state. Keynes was a fool as are all of his followers. Everyone knows that if you tax something you get less of it. We have one more chance to turn back. I pray that we do!

    The reason that the president's numbers have fallen so low is because unlike many politicians who reach that level. He felt the need, in my opinion to overly please his detractors that had planned for him to fail before he was sworn in. That detour shook his base that created cracks that should have never even appeared. One thing that I have seen in earlier presidents was the fact that they would meet and speak openly their base and talk about their interest unlike the current president. It may be true that the terms of Bush and Clinton caused major stripping of regulations of companies that created the mess we are in now. Still, He did got stuck in the mud by trying to please the tea party right in some things. In my estimation, if he would take half the time he used to negotiate with the right he could have solved more problems then he has. We need an effective leader that does the unpopular things to make sure we progress to prosperity. And as long as we still have the winner takes all election system then it would do you well to make your base happy.

    A rolling poll would show that now in Oct., Bama is probably at 40% approval or maybe lower. There is nothing he had done to improve his standing since he has approved of Chu, Holder, the OWS leftist yutes protesting, failed to create any private sector jobs with his policies, still has Solyn. and Fast scandals on his shelf. This guy would have failed not only my history class but my economics one too.

    I think that it is interesting that most pollsters interpret our responses to questions like "Is the country going down the wrong track?" as a unilateral vote against Obama. As a moderate Republican [old school], he would not have been my choice of the Democratic field, but any time I answer that question with a yes, my anger is toward Congress. The inability to work together in a spirit of compromise smacks of immaturity. I have an elderly friend who is a social conservative. You may want to know that she feels that cuts to monies meant for the elderly and disabled is very un-Christian, and is appalled at the direction the Republican budget cutting has gone, so whereas she would not give Obama a good score, don't count on her voting for a Republican through this cycle - she plans to sit it out.

    Obama's main objective is to stroke his own ego. He wants to go down in history as the first "black" president. Well, he wanted to be remembered and believe me he will be as the biggest "loser" president. I am so sick of politicians....period! If someone doesn't take the bull by the horns and take care of this country, ladies and gentlemen we are doomed. Bring our troops home where they belong instead of sacrificing them for some idiotic war that should have never started. We should have never been in Iraq to begin with! We need to stop sticking our noses where they don't belong! How would we feel if someone from their country came to the USA and tried to tell how to run our country? How would we feel then?! Close the borders to the USA and stop illegal immigration. The only reason this has gone on so long is because we have let it! Why is it illegal to enter another country without permission, but it's not when you come to the US. Here you get fringe benefits! Obama is not a leader, he is a follower for whoever will cast a vote for him. That is not a President people!

    All kidding aside, it is unimaginable anyone could possibly think of Obama as anything but a smooth talking used car salesman, certainly not a leader in any sense of the word! This guy makes Jimmy Carter look like a genius. A Trillion dollars + and 33 czars later and just when you don't think things can get any worse, they do. Unfortunately he's surrounded himself with radicals, tax cheats and idiots. Every thing he touches turns to crap.     It took eight years to get into these woods, it was never going to take only two and a half (yes, two and a half!) to get out. Why is John Zogby dwelling on Martha's Vineyard above? Did Obama do that several months ago? If I were a student in a classroom swirling in violence and a band of fellow students changing all the answers on my test, I'd be happy with a D+. The fact that they haven't made me fail is a tribute to what I'm able to do!
