IBOPE Inteligência Poll: Voters Saying Nation on Right Track Up 5 to 22%; Small Rise in Obama Approval (43%)
54% Say Obama Doesn't Deserve Re-Election
UTICA, NY--The percentage of voters saying the nation is headed in the right direction is up five percentage points from ten days ago and is the highest since July of this year, but still is only 22%. President Barack Obama's job approval remains below a majority (43%), but it is up two percentage points. The percentage saying he deserves re-election is 38%.
These results are from an IBOPE Inteligência interactive poll conducted from Oct. 28-31.
On Oct 21, 72% said the nation is on the wrong track and 17% said the U.S. is headed in the right direction. Now, 69% say "wrong track." On July 6, 2011, 23% chose "right direction," and that number fell as low as 15% in August and September.

- Overall approval of Congress is 16%, up three percentage points from Oct. 21. Approval for Congressional Republicans is 30% and for Congressional Democrats 28%, both unchanged from 10 days ago.
IBOPE Inteligência conducted an online survey of 2,144 voters. A sampling of IBOPE Inteligência's online panel, which is representative of the adult population of the U.S., was invited to participate. Slight weights were added to region, party, age, race, religion, gender and education to more accurately reflect the population. The margin of error is +/- 2.2 percentage points. Margins of error are higher in sub-groups. The MOE calculation is for sampling error only.
