IBOPE Inteligência Poll: One-in-Four Voters Say They Are Likely To Support Third-Party Candidate

Including 41% of Voters Ages 18-29

UTICA, NY--One-in-four voters say they would be likely to support a third-party or independent candidate for President. This includes 41% of voters ages 18-29 and 36% of voters who identify as independents

These results are from an IBOPE Inteligência interactive poll conducted from Nov. 15-17, 2011. Men (31%) are also more likely than women (16%) to support a third party candidate.

IBOPE Inteligência International conducted an online survey of 2,064 likely voters. A sampling of IBOPE Inteligência's online panel, which is representative of the adult population of the U.S., was invited to participate. Slight weights were added to region, party, age, race, religion, gender, and education to more accurately reflect the population. The margin of error is +/- 2.2 percentage points. Margins of error are higher in sub-groups. The MOE calculation is for sampling error only.
