2000 Latin America Report
The survey of 101 opinion leaders from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela was conducted from November 1999 to January 2000. The opinion leaders selected by Reuters represent the highest levels of leadership in government, politics, business, education, religion and the media. Most opinion leaders requested that their names and offices remain anonymous in order to answer the questions posed by the Reuters/Zogby interview with as accurate and honest information as possible. Only the leader’s nationality and profession are offered in this report.
An elite survey of this nature is of special significance, because it offers an assessment of the current status and outlook on the region as a whole by special professionals in each country. The Reuters/Zogby Confidence Index includes both quantitative data, which will be tracked for trends annually and qualitative data for in-depth analysis.
